ZoeCity, is an extremely well funded Seattle based corporation currently led
by an ex- Google guru. We are building a social network platform targeted to
a “niched” market. We are definitely working on very exciting project and
are seeking a passionate developer to join our current dev staff at our
awesome office space in Seattle 
We are offering competitive salary at the minimum.

Our ideal Killer Coding Ninja Monkey at the minimum be super strong in Rails
and also will have done web application development of some sort using Ruby
on Rails, a working knowledge of CSS and JavaScript, a Linux sys admin
experience, and preferably a degree in Computer Science. 

Below are the requirements & plus


Requirements: 

* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related program.
* Strong knowledge of building secure and scalable Ruby on Rails
applications.
* Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Linux, MySQL and Apache.
* Strong Ruby background and object oriented thinking
* Solid understanding of Mongrel,OOP and MVC2 
* Ability to write complex Queries
* REST, Resource-Oriented **addressable, connectable** services design.
* Experience with JSON and XML, including parsing, schema, and
transformations.
* Experience with memcache and server optimization a plus. 
* Strong grasp of network protocols, caching, synchronization, pooling,
threads, concurrency, distributed computing, transactions, and optimization.

* Disciplined approach to software development, with mindset of test-driven
coding and agile project management.
* Strong teamwork skills, practical business sense and a passion for
delivering cool innovative products.
* Extremely hardcore in Linux/Unix sys administration
* Hardcore Python/PHP/Perl Solid background
* Amazing Ruby on Rails coder who takes no prisoners 
* Ability to learn new languages extremely fast 
* Intensely driven and proactive person 
* Strong Web and database programming with Ruby on Rails and mysql and other
open source applications 
* Inspire others to write great code

* Have written and submitted a rail plugin before
* Have a high rated profile at http://www.workingwithrails.com
* Ability to build complex content monitoring algorithm
* write bullet proof code 
* Strong Java background
* Member of the rail core or contributor team
* Member of the Rails Hackfest team
