[Rubyjobs] Looking for a designer with Rails skills for a small publishing project

Hey James,

I'd be interested and I know my way around a Rails site. Two recent things
I've worked on are:

http://www.disruptian.com - completely custom blog template for typo (I
noticed you're running mephisto)
http://greenbay.usc.edu/csci577/fall2007/projects/team4/ - something that
had to be put together in one day

I'm assuming you want to redo the design of http://www.restphone.com . I
normally wouldn't consider doing a non-personal project like this, but I
think it's a really cool piece of tech you've created and deserves to look
appealing as well. I noticed you had some kind of screencast on the homepage
and I wouldn't mind helping out with that if you wanted either.

The timeframe sounds ok to me. Also, I'm in LA but have lived in Seattle
before and usually don't have problems on virtual teams. In terms of rates,
I'd need more detail about what your vision was for the site before I could
get a better idea of how much effort is involved.

If you're interested shoot me an email with some more details or drop me a
line at 213-399-1688 and if I don't answer I'll get right back to you.

Smiling,

Ian

I'm looking for a designer who can take an existing rails site design
and improve the look and feel - this is mostly HTML/css work, but I
definitely need someone who's comfortable working in Rails, not just
Photoshop. My last HTML person fell through, and the need is soon -
you need to have some available bandwidth in the next two weeks. I'm
thinking there's 2-3 days of work (but I'm a code guy, so this could
be off.)

If you're interested, send me mail with some example sites you've
worked on, your availability, and your rates. Someone located near
Seattle would be ideal, but I'm open to working with anyone anywhere.
