Hi All,

I work for this great little start up in Downtown Seattle.  We are mainly a
java shop, but are going to be doing some of our applications with Ruby on
Rails.  So, I am looking for a strong Java developer with prior Ruby
experience or just enthusiasm for Ruby.  The job description doesn't mention
Ruby but it is a new reality.  If you are interested please respond; also,

*Responsibilities*

The software developer/engineer will be a key team-member participating in
all technical aspects of product development, including design, development,
and implementation. We are looking for a hands-on performer with a broad
range of experience in java/open-source internet software.

*Qualifications*

   - 2+ years of relevant experience in fast-paced development teams
   - Experience in a high-volume, rapid scaling Internet / eCommerce
   environment strongly preferred
   - Expertise in Java, Servlets, preferably in an internet / open-source
   environment (e.g., Jakarta stack)
   - Experience in a Open-Source development / deployment environment
   (Eclipse, tomcat, MySQL, PERL/PHP, Linux,..., etc.)
   - Ability to fit in well within an informal start-up environment
   - Strong analytical skills
   - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
   - Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
