Suggestion: Shinka Tea for hacknights, and Amazon occasionally (such
as every other month).

In the past, there have been two major groups of people who attend Seattle.rb:

* General hackers who enjoy an informal get-together
* Businesspeople or those curious about Ruby who prefer a formal lecture

We have North America's best informal hacknight at Vivace. However,
there is nothing for the latter group.

Previous events with Francis Hwang (two years ago) or at the Northwest
Film Forum (last year) have been well attended by 40-50 people from
the latter group. It appears that there is also a group of Amazon
employees who would attend. The problem has been finding people
willing to speak.

I'd like to take Ali up on his offer and organize a formal lecture
every other month. I'd even be willing to fund an event where we take
proposals and fly in a famous or otherwise informed Rubyist from
another city.

However, my wife and I are having a baby this week or next, so I
couldn't organize an event right away. Maybe something for the
beginning of May.
