Saying he'll accept the challenge of a duel if offered is hardly a
threat. In past centuries it was even considered sporting and
gentlemanly.
Well, Matz is a Mormon, and they hold a lot of beliefs that most people
would consider to be far more bizarre than homophobia. (Look it up some
time.) Eric Raymond has a lot of beliefs that are downright scary, but
my conscience doesn't feel sullied by using fetchmail. (Except for the
fact that it's got an insane config file format, but that's unrelated.)
If your conscience does then obviously that's something you have to work
through on your own, but you'll have a very difficult time getting
anything practical done. Perhaps monk-hood would be a better fit than
software development.
