[Ruby] NOTICE: extra anti-spam measures

The last two mornings I've had mailman requests to confirm
subscriptions for other zenspider.com email addresses. I suspect the
bots are trying to get subscribed so they can either post spam or get
to the subscriber list. In response I've turned off access to the
subscriber list entirely (I doubt anyone uses it anyhow) and turned
on admin verification for subscribing for the next week or so. That
way I can look at what's going on behind the scenes and see if we're
getting a dictionary attack or what.
As always, non-members can't post at all and virgin members are
moderated until they post and prove they're human... This is the
primary source of our defense and it seems to work really well. If
you have any suggestions or feedback, I'd love to hear it.
