[Ruby] working with excel spreadsheets (.xls) in ruby/rails

Shane,

I had to do this recently for a project and went the CSV route. I found this
link http://books.evc-cit.info/odf_utils/ruby_to_xhtml.html which looks like
it's trying to convert to Open Document format (which is supported by Office
7)

Let me know if you find something better (that's easy)  :)
