[Ruby] bzip library available?

I've got incoming XML with bzip'ed and base 64 encoded CDATA sections, and I
need to be able to uncompress them on windows and linux.  

I'm looking for a bzip library, and not finding much.  There's an interface
to libbzip2 on

pression, 
but it's labeled 'beta' and the last update was back in 2004.  Suggestions?
Am I missing an obvious library somewhere?
