You can get a passport from the Federal Building downtown within two  
weeks of foreign travel, but you'll have to pay the expedite fee ($60,  
IIRC).  You have to call and make an appointment, which you should do  
3 weeks in advance of travel, since they're usually booked up for a  
week.
