[Ruby] Feedtools Alternative?

Like, the one that Dave Thomas wrote about way back when? You're in  
Washington?!? COOL!

That said, feedtools is horrible. Really really big. Really really  
slow. And I don't know of an alternative unfortunately. I looked into  
profiling it and pulling it apart (it does nasty things to urls over  
and over and over) but it was too tangled for my little brain.

Any chance of you coming to a meeting anytime?
