I think the donating new ruby books to Seattle Public Library is an awesome
idea!
There are so many new books coming like The Ruby Way 2nd Edition, Ruby
Cookbook, Ruby for Rails and many more. It would be great to work with
publishers giving discount for this good cause.
The idea of seed funding a local mini ruby conference (may be adapting
openspace and lightning talk concepts) or code festival also sounds good.
Geoffrey please share your ideas with us too.
Good luck spending wisely!
