All a matter of taste. I exclusively use 12-13" laptops because I  
_always_ carry it around with me so I can work whenever I feel  
inspired. I simply won't lug around anything bigger with me all the  
time. Using good tool and taking advantage of them makes up for the  
loss of pixels. Looking at the latest radrails screencast it is  
pretty obvious to me that you're giving up a lot of pixels for not  
that much benefit (at least, for the default views--I know that  
eclipse is really tweakable, but how many people really do?).
