"...they can afford to move so fucking slow, man, they'll wait years and years. Give you a whole life, just so you'll have more to lose when they come and take it away. Patient like a spider. Zen spiders." - William Gibson's Neuromancer (chapter 15)
Hey...
This is my personal website, which allows me to pay a small tribute to my friends and things I like. I plan on putting basically all the stuff that doesn't fit elsewhere in my web.
I'm a nerd and proud of it. I don't think that nerds are well understood. We are either trashed on by the socially "elite", or are treated like intellectual gods, of which I've met very few. I work for Omni Group as a software engineer.
I am also a Greener.
So far, I have worked (at school and/or at home) on a number of projects:
I intend to continue these projects (eventually). I also want to work on a few new projects.
I use ZenWeb to generate this website from plain text.
I decided not to run off to grad school as soon as I graduated. I figured that it would be more valuable to me personally, professionally, and academically if I worked for a while and really learned what software development in the real world is like. Besides, if I want to work at improving the world, how can I do that without experiencing it first? I do intend to get my Ph.D. someday and teach at the university level. I hope that I can turn around and teach others what I have learned. Maybe they can improve what I have done to improve the things done before me.
